Miami Art Basel with Sprint
Last week, Miami Art Baselwelcomed artists from all over the world to present international Modern and contemporary art galleries display artworks by over 4,000 artists. Crowds and visitors met in the most vibrant scenes in Miami to admire pieces of art created by talented young artists to museum-caliber masterpieces.
The Wynwood Walls has brought the world’s greatest artists working in the graffiti and street art genre to Miami, and Art Basel was the perfect opportunity for many artists to showcase their work. I had the awesome opportunity to attend an event in Wynwood Walls last Thursday sponsored by Sprint, and I loved the vibe and the piece of art that Ruben Ubiera created in one of the walls.
Ruben Ubiera, born in Dominican Republic is a neo-figurative artist, known for his strong use of the line, graffiti inspired technique/esthetic, urban murals, mixed-media pieces and installations, all created with reclaimed-objects and found artifacts. He paints and draws in a style considered as Postgraffism, but he prefers to call it urban-pop, since he has lived most of his life in urban, populated areas and most of his inspiration is derived from the interactivity between man and his urban environment.
Ruben revealed his artwork during the Sprint VIP Launch Event. It was great to share this moment with great people and know more about the company. Sprint is a communication service company that creates more and better ways to connect its customers to the things they care about the most. Sprint is widely recognized for developing, engineering and deploying innovative technologies.

La semana pasada, Miami Art Baselle dió la bienvenida a artistas de todo el mundo. Las galerías de arte moderno y contemporáneo exhibieron obras de arte de más de 4,000 artistas. Miles de personas acudieron a los lugares más vibrantes de Miami para admirar obras de arte creadas por talentosos artistas jóvenes y grandes maestros en el arte.
Wynwood Walls atrajo a los mejores artistas del mundo que trabajan en el género del graffiti y del arte urbano y Art Basel fue la oportunidad perfecta para que muchos artistas exhibieran sus piezas. Tuve la oportunidad de asistir a un evento el jueves pasado patrocinado por Sprint y me encantó el ambiente y la obra de arte que Ruben Ubiera creó en una de las paredes.
Rubén Ubiera, nacido en República Dominicana, es un artista neofigurativo, conocido por su uso de la técnica inspirada en el graffiti, murales urbanos, piezas de medios mixtos e instalaciones, todos creados con objetos recuperados y artefactos encontrados. Su estilo es considerado como Postgraffismo, pero prefiere llamarlo urbano-pop, ya que ha vivido la mayor parte de su vida en áreas urbanas y la mayor parte de su inspiración se deriva de la interactividad entre el hombre y su entorno urbano.
Ruben reveló su obra de arte durante el Evento de Lanzamiento VIP de Sprint. Fue genial compartir este momento con grandes personas y conocer más acerca de esta compañía. Sprint ofrece servicios de comunicaciones que crean más y mejores formas de conectar a sus clientes con las cosas que más les importan. Sprint es ampliamente reconocido por desarrollar, diseñar e implementar tecnologías innovadoras.
